Dance Arts Academy opens doors on new building

Dance Arts Academy in Traverse City has officially moved into a new building.

The dance school, owned by Betsy Carr and Sue Buck, has been well established in Traverse City for more than 20 years, but the new facility offers much more space, at 11,000 square feet and two stories. Other features include floor-to-ceiling windows and raised flooring.

The new Dance Arts Academy location will continue to offer dance instruction ranging from beginner to pre-professional, including pre-K, ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and theater.

It also will serve as home to Diva Dancewear, a specialty dancewear store, and as home base for Company Dance Traverse, the academy's dance ensemble.
