Richardson opens new physical rehab practice

A new health care practice now open in Traverse City focuses on physical rehabilitation and medicine.
 
Dr. Christina Richardson opened her own practice, called Mi Physical Medicine, at 3865 West Front Street in Traverse City, in early March, and is welcoming new and returning patients who may have previously seen her through Munson Health Care.
 
Richardson offers physical medicine rehabilitation care, such as nerve, muscle or bone issues resulting from a number of injuries, disabilities or diseases. She focuses on increasing patient mobility and reducing pain.
 
She is a graduate of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and post-graduation, trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, part of the Northwestern University Medical School. She also has done a fellowship in applied functional sciences with the Gray Institute and has been certified by Nike Golf as a golf performance specialist.
 
Previously, Richardson practiced at Munson Medical Center's Neuromuscular and Rehabilitation Associates in Traverse City.
