Erica Aicher joins Dan Brady Painting & Wood Restoration

Dan Brady Painting and Wood Restoration has a new face representing the company since Erica Aicher was hired on.

Aicher, who is an interior design graduate of Arizona State University, recently joined the company as the new business assistance and color consultant.

"I always had an interest in design," says Aicher. "As a student I loved art, photography and drawing. And I was always rearranging my room, even drawing. I grew up in Chicago and when it came time for college I wanted to go somewhere warm. At the time Arizona State University had one of the top 10 design schools."

But, like so many Midwesterners, Aicher found herself back in the chilly climates she grew up in. Her internship from Arizona State was with Traverse City designer Shane Inman and her first step into the working world of design was in Arizona with a drapery and bedding company before she took a position with Inman and moved back to the Midwest. It was from Inman's company that she came to Dan Brady Painting and Wood Restoration.

Aicher handles the officer for the company and also helps clients with color consultations in their homes.

When not working Aicher loves to hike, camp and explore Northern Michigan's outdoors with her two English Bulldogs. She's also active as an advisor to the Grand Valley State University chapter of her sorority, Gamma Phi Beta, and is helping them design their new chapter house.
