One of
Chateau Chantal's best wines ever has been chosen for a super-selective wine list; that of the restaurant Sixteen, which is in the Trump International Hotel and Tower Chicago.
The restaurant has released its 2005 Chateau Chantal Proprietor's Reserve Krupka Vineyard Cabernet Franc to the restaurant for placement. The vintage is no longer available to the public, but has been in great demand in the past. It was grown in one of northern Michigan's record warm seasons.
"Placing one of our finest wines at Trump Towers, in one of the most competitive wine markets in the nation, is a big coup for the reputation of Chateau Chantal and Michigan wines. This is just one more step in showing the rest of the nation what amazing wines we can produce in this state," says Marie-Chantal Dalese, director of marketing for Chateau Chantal.
The Old Mission Peninsula winery also has wines at Chicago restaurants like Shaw's Crab House and Hopleaf, and retail locations in Chicagoland. They are distributed by Fresh Coast Distribution in Illinois.
Chateau Chantal will release its 2010 vintage of Cabernet Franc later this year.
