There's going to be some celebrating going on at
JenTees Custom Logo Gear this weekend.
The company, which is located at 515 Wellington Street in Traverse City, will be throwing a "grand opening" celebration of its remodeled, expanded facility on Jan. 28. The reason for celebration is more than just new digs, however--JenTees just kicked off its 20th year in business.
"We're excited to begin our 20th year in business with a grand opening celebration," says JenTees founder Mark Jensen. "We've been operating out of half of this building since 1999. A little over a year ago, I purchased the other half and we spent last year remodeling it to create an expanded showroom and customer service area that has also made us more visible to people traveling by on Eighth Street."
The grand opening celebration will take place 3 - 7 p.m. at the JenTees facility and is open to past, current and future JenTees customers.
"We're looking forward to showing everyone our new facility," says Jensen. "We'll also show off the many specialty services that JenTees offers."
JenTees is best known for the first products offered when they set up business--screen printed apparel. Since then, they've added embroidery, awards and promotional products such as cups, pens, bags and desk accessories.
Only two people were on staff when Jensen first began screen printing t-shirts at its original location. Today the company employs 10 full-time and two part-time employees.Despite the tough economic times, the business has grown consistently, allowing Jensen to add a new employee in 2010. He plans to add another in 2011.
