Kingsley gets community development grant to improve downtown

The village of Kingsley is getting some Michigan Economic Development Corporation funding to improve its downtown.

A community development block grant will fund the demolition of an unsafe building in downtown Kingsley on Main Street, according to the MEDC.

It's part of the program's goal to develop communities by creating new economic opportunities, like eliminating blight. Kingsley will get $81,655 to tear down the building at 200 East Main Street, which should encourage more economic development in the village's center.
