Get your food brought to you -- GRUB opens in Marquette

If you've ever sat back and wished that someone--anyone!--would bring you something good to eat besides the few places in Marquette that deliver, then you're in luck.

Grub, a venture started out of pocket by Jacob Jacques earlier this year, will be more than happy to help you satisfy that growling in your stomach.

The operation is simple: Go onto the Grub website and take a look at the various menus from around town, choose what you want and then call them and place your order. Grub handles the rest. They arrange for your food, pick up your order and bring it right to your doorstep.

"(Customers) can expect the best customer service possible," says Jacques. "We're not a corporate chain or anything like that. We are a locally-owned and started business that wants to give back to the community."

Jacque and his other drivers are well versed in the streets of Marquette, having held delivery jobs for other companies in the past. They have quick turn around times from order to delivery and strive for customer satisfaction.

Currently the restaurants on Grub's list are: Doghouse Pub, Stucko's Bar and Grill, The Wild Rover, KFC, Rice Paddy, The Pasta Shop, Hudson's Grill, Beef-a-Roo, Big Boy, Lagniappe Cajun Creole, Culvers, Huron Earth Deli and Little Caesars. They are trying to add more each and every day, so check their website often.

If you're interested in working for Grub or being an investor in helping the company grow and expand, contact Jacques via email.

"I hope this is a big hit in Marquette," he says. "It is something this college town has needed for awhile."
