Open for business in the U.P.
There's a bit of a Dollar General epidemic happening in the Upper Peninsula right now.
Rapid River, located in Delta County on U.S. 41 and U.S. 2, recently had one of the general item stores open up shop right on the highway.
Gwinn, which is located in Marquette County, will also have a new Dollar General in the near future as ground was recently broke on the site of the store, which will be located right on M-35 near Larry's Foods and the medical center.
Dollar General considers itself "America's largest small-box discount retailer" and carries a large variety of general items ranging from food to toiletries to over-the-counter medicine to clothing and more.
