What's happening: The Marine Trades Institute in Cedarville has established a new scholarship, the Michael Kletti Memorial Scholarship, to support students pursuing marine industry careers. This scholarship was created by Sandy Kletti and
her family in loving memory of Michael Kletti, a lifelong boating enthusiast and dedicated family man.
About the scholarship: The Michael Kletti Memorial Scholarship will provide $2,100 annually to a deserving student enrolled at the Marine Trades Institute, formerly known as the Great Lakes Boat Building School. Qualifications include full time enrollment in either the Boat Building or Marine Technology training school.
Michael KlettiAbout Michael Kletti: He was described as a man of many talents and passions. With a degree in engineering and a strong aptitude for hands-on work, Kletti enjoyed a successful career that took him around the world. However, his greatest joy came from his family and his lifelong love of boating. From sailing and powerboating to sharing his knowledge with fellow boaters, Kletti was always eager
to lend a helping hand.
What they're saying: "Mike's passion for boating and his dedication to helping others made this scholarship a perfect way to honor his legacy," said Sandy Kletti. "We wanted to provide an opportunity for students to pursue their dreams in the marine trades, just as Mike pursued his passions throughout his
life."
