LegalShield just opened up its Marquette office on Third Street in the last year, but already it's adding employees, with two new agents working out of the office just this spring.
LegalShield agents work somewhat like insurance or brokerage agents, dealing with customer accounts and policies, says Brandon Sayen, owner of the Marquette office. LegalShield is a nationwide company that offers pre-paid legal services through a network of provider law firms.
Sayen says he recruited three U.P. agents to open the office, and has added one more in March, with another set to be hired later this spring. More hires are expected after a national TV ad campaign rolls out this spring, too.
"Once this starts airing and more people know about our product we will be bringing on many more associates to cover each and every family in the U.P.," says Sayen. He brought the service back here to his native U.P. after working for the company in Florida for seven years.
Agents must be certified through a LegalShield program before starting to work with customers.
