Iron Mountain residents were welcomed to Raze of Perfection & Spa on Carpenter Avenue for a recent ribbon-cutting event. The salon and spa hosted Dickinson County Chamber of Commerce ambassadors, local business folks and new and returning customers at the event, which highlighted the young business's offerings.
Raze of Perfection & Spa is owned by Brad Staedt and its core business began as a tanning salon that also offered a wide variety of tanning lotions, moisturizers and related gifts like purses and other accessories. It is partnering with Sweet Cheeks Soap Co. to offer products like soaps and lotions which are handmade from natural ingredients.
Tanning customers also have options like stand-up tanning, special packages, and teeth whitening services. Staff at Raze of Perfection undergo training in SmartTan Training courses, which include education on UV light technology, advanced skin care, sunburn prevention, tanning safety and eye safety, skin type analysis and sanitation protocols.
The tanning salon and spa also has a full-service beauty salon named Tease Me, owned by Melinda Ray. Ray has more than seven years of experience in cosmetology and hair care, and offers color procedures, cuts for men and women, perms, straightening, waxing, highlights, special occasion styles, and men's and women's hair products. Ray prefers to use products that have no sulfates and are not tested on animals.
Finally, the spa also has an experienced massage therapist on hand, Heidi Rizzo. She provides therapeutic massage, with more than 16 years of experience including deep tissue massage.
