Munising summer staple
Loco Poco Tacos might have disappeared for a few weeks, but they've re-opened, in a location better for the winter, at the East Channel Brewing Company.
Owner Autumn Ballas says the taco stand closed down after the summer tourist season was over in Munising, but the demand from local customers was high enough that they arranged for an indoor winter location with the brewery, with a grand re-opening party over the weekend to celebrate.
Loco Poco Tacos will be serving up their fresh Mexican dishes and even some new menu items all winter, Thursday through Sunday each week, allowing patrons to pair local beer with local tacos, a model that's been successful in other cities too.
"For those of you who have visited the venue already, it is a beautiful location and one we are proud to call our new home. We will be located upstairs offering both set menu items as well as most of our traditional options," says the announcement from Ballas.
East Channel Brewing Company is at 209 Maple Street in Munising.
