Folks looking for some great Michigan art to hang on the walls of their homes and offices won't have to look much farther than St. Ignace these days.
Betsy and Alan Turf opened the Voyageur Trading Post this summer and have a fine selection of outstanding Michigan-made art for shoppers to choose from.
"We have enjoyed being a new business in town," says Betsy Turf.
In addition to art for the walls--you can find both acrylics and watercolors at the Trading Post--there is also a great selection of photography, textiles and art in the form of pottery and even some great wood and acrylic pieces from an artist in Calumet.
But the real treasure? The furniture. Alan Turf has been making furniture and accessories for the home for the past 25 years. His hand-crafted work is also available at the shop, as well as furniture by a craftsman from Moran.
