Newly opened TuliVesi Yoga offers a slew of beneficial classes in Marquette

If you're anything like me, then you're not likely going to be the person who wants to keep reading about Marquette's new yoga studio.

It's not that I don't like yoga, or that I don't support this new business, it's just that I can't really even touch my toes anymore, and my idea of a stretch is when I have to reach up high to get a snack off the top shelf of the cupboard.

On second thought, if you are anything like me, then perhaps you really should stop by 925 W. Washington Street, Suite 103, in Marquette and say hello to TuliVesi Yoga. If you're not sure it's for you, don’t' worry -- they'll convince you and you'll be happy they did. Honestly, who can't use more balance and calm in their life? They even offer a great 10 days for $10 trial offer (or 30 days for $39 with unlimited classes), with the option of getting 10-percent off an autopay package if you sign up before your trial expires.

So what the heck is TuliVesi? Well, in Finnish, according to the company, tuli translates to fire and vesi to water. That's a name that makes sense considering the studio is dedicated to vinyasa yoga, which is rooted in the elements of fire and water (see, told you it makes sense). The idea is that your body generates its own heat to fuel itself, and you flow like water to incorporate balance and a sense of ease and relaxation.

TuliVesi Yoga, which is owned and operated by Jennifer Taylor, offers up classes for all levels of yoga practitioners, as well as classes like power beats, medication, foundations and alignment and more. You can visit their website, which was designed by local company Elegant Seagulls, for their complete schedule.
