Skilled and professional job seekers looking to narrow their search to Upper Peninsula-specific openings have a new tool to use thanks to the
Lake Superior Community Partnership and the
Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
The two groups recently collaborated to create the Upper Peninsula Jobs Portal, a portion of the MEDC's statewide interactive job posting and search system that connects talent with Michigan-based openings.
"It is for skilled and professional job openings and not intended to take the place of the
Michigan Works talent bank," says Amy Clickner, director of the Lake Superior Community Partnership. The more we can accumulate openings across the U.P. on this site, the more successfully all employment opportunities can be marketed."
The Jobs Portal serves as a one-stop for employers and job seekers as part of a greater talent acquisition system that is designed to support all companies in the State of Michigan with their goals of efficiency in finding and retaining top-notch talent.
The portal is now live on the
LSCP website and is specifically designed to promote job opportunities within the Upper Peninsula. Employers and job seekers are highly encouraged to visit the page and create an account.
Employers looking to post on the site will need to create an account and submit directly to the Jobs Portal.
