Comfort Inn in Iron Mountain wins Choice Hotels award

The Comfort Inn in Iron Mountain has been recognized for its hospitality and service to guests, in a recent award from the hotel's chain owner, Choice Hotels International, Inc.

The 2010 Platinum Hospitality award was given to the Iron Mountain hotel, which means it was one of the top-performing hotels in the Comfort hotel brand, which includes more than 4,900 hotels in the U.S. The Comfort Inn in Iron Mountain ranked in the top 3 percent of properties among all Comfort Inns.

The award for 2010 was announced along with other Choice Hotel winners early this year. Of the awardees, 126, including the Iron Mountain hotel, received Platinum awards, which is the company's most prestigious award for hospitality. Another 301 hotels received Gold award designations, which represent the top 10 percent of their brand.

"These award-winning hotels are truly the properties that shine day in and day out, representing not only the best of the best from across the country, but also the tremendous value that a Choice brand hotel can offer to today's travelers," says Steve Joyce, president and CEO of Choice Hotels.

Other hotel brands franchised by Choice Hotels include Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, MainStay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay Hotel, Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inns.
