River Valley Bank takes the lead sponsoring the Copper Dog 150

It's only entering its second year, but the Copper Dog 150 sled dog race is drawing some major attention and, in turn, some great sponsors.

The race, which will run in March, recently earned a lead sponsor in River Valley Bank--a repeat performance for the financial institution at top billing.

"This is the second year that River Valley bank has been the lead sponsor of the race, and we are very grateful for both their financial support and leadership role in the success of last year's race," says Doug Harrer, chair of Main Street Calumet's race-planning committee. "We look forward to their enthusiastic participation in this year's race."

The Second Annual Copper Dog 150 Sled Dog Race is a three-day event that takes place beginning March 4 through March 6. The race is a professional-class, 150-mile event begins in downtown Calumet and continues overnight to Eagle Harbor and then onto Copper Harbor the next morning. On The third day, the team's journey back to Calumet for a big downtown finish.

The Copper Dog 150 was founded last year by the Copper Dog 150 Club. For more information about the race, check out its website.
