Dickinson County Bike Path to host event during Iron Mountain's harvest event

A community influenced by young professionals is a community that attracts and retains them. That's the vision of the Iron Mountain Downtown Development Association. So, to help promote that thought process, the DDA has announced an End of Summer Party for August 26 at Spiro's Downtown Restaurant in Iron Mountain. The event is open to all Upper Peninsula young professionals, which the DDA says doesn't necessarily have an age limit.

"We don't define young professionals by an age," says Jonathan Ringel, the Iron Mountain Main Street manager. "We define it as a mind set. We are a group of people who are interested in enhancing ourselves and the future of our community. We work hard, we like to socialize, we're civic minded, and we make the change that we want to see in our lives, our businesses and our community."

The event will allow attendees to meet with one another and learn about each others businesses. It will also feature information on business training programs, the Young Professionals Network and upcoming events.

Appetizers along with premium wine and liquor will be served on the outdoor patio at Spiro's, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
