If
Ghost Hunters on the SyFy Channel is one of your favorite shows, there's an event at Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste. Marie you won't want to miss this summer.
Some of the ghost hunters from the TV show, as well as other widely known paranormal experts, will be coming to
Kewadin Sault Ste. Marie for the second Michigan Paranormal Convention, scheduled for August 12 and 13.
"We have about 15 paranormal experts confirmed to attend the event," says Tim Ellis, president of the Upper Peninsula Paranormal Research Society, which is helping organize the convention. "TV personalities from Ghost Hunters, authors of nationally known books, and Carmen Reid, mother from the true story of Haunting in Connecticut will all be on hand--including many others."
Some of the other names include Lisa J. Smith from CBS Psychic Radio, Rochelle Sparrow and Cortney Kane, psychics, authors Joshua P. Warren and Linda Godfrey, John Zaffis and Carmen Reed of Haunting in Connecticut, UFO expert Stanton Friedman, Ghost Hunters' Dustin Parri, Barry Fitzgerald, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango, Haunted Travels of Michigan authors Kathleen Tedsen and Beverly Rydel, author Rosemary Ellen Guiley, TV host and author Jeff Belanger, and Jim Couling of Twilight Ghost Walking Tours.
The convention will include topics like paranormal investigation, psychic powers, demonology, and UFO studies, and walking ghost tours and psychic readings will be among the attractions, though ticketed separately.
Tickets are available on the Kewadin Casino's website, at $60 for a convention pass, and $80 for a pass that includes dinner. Special pricing is available at the linked hotel for convention attendees.
"Last year, we had over 1,000 people attend the conference and we expect even more this year," says Ellis.
