One of the U.P.'s most iconic products, the Stormy Kromer, is getting a new agency to promote it.
Stormy Kromer, which is a division of Ironwood-based Jacquart Fabric Products, announced it has hired HobNob Communications, Inc. of the Escanaba area to be its public relations agency.
The company, which has roots back to the creation of the Stormy Kromer hat in 1903, hasn't had any trouble getting regional and even national recognition, but VP of marketing, sales and new products Gina Thorsen says HobNob is the right agency to keep the company moving forward.
"We are looking forward to working with this unique team of public relations professionals," says Thorsen. "They demonstrate a great deal of PR and promotional savvy, energy and creative power to help us market our iconic cap as well as our expanding product line."
HobNob Communications is owned by Joanna Wilbee Amis, an Escanaba native and current Gladstone resident. Wilbee Amis founded the agency in 2003 and focuses on boutique-style services in the PR, marketing and communications departments.
