Green Bay Packers schedule a visit to Marquette

After a Super Bowl-winning season, the Green Bay Packers are taking some time off to travel around Wisconsin and the U.P. and say thank you to all their fans.

The sixth Green Bay Packers Tailgate Tour is planned for May 10 to 14 this spring, and the team is kicking it off in Marquette on May 10, an event being sponsored by the Lake Superior Community Partnership. After that, they'll visit Ashland, Eau Claire and Wausau before returning to Green Bay May 14.

The visit will include an evening tailgate party in each city, in support of a local non-profit organization. Those on the tour will include current Green Bay Packers players, personnel and, for the first time, special alumni.

"We're looking forward to this year's Tailgate Tour," says Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy. "The tour has become an offseason highlight for the organization and a great way to see many of our fans in their communities. Through the tour we'll be able to show our appreciation for the fans' support of the team, and lend a fundraising hand to a worthy local organization."

The tailgate party in Marquette is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Superior Dome, and includes food, giveaways, question-and-answer sessions and autographs. Tickets are $30. General admission tickets also are available for $5, which includes access to the Q&A sessions. Food and beverages are also available for purchase for those in general admission.

All the proceeds from the events in Marquette will go to Bay Cliff Health Camp. Ticketing information will be updated closer to the time of the tour and is available on the Packers website.
