Northern Star Industries, Inc., the parent company of Boss Snowplow and Systems Control, is seeking a mechanical design engineer who is both innovative and highly motivated, to join the Boss Products Engineering Department. The position affords an opportunity to design and develop snow and ice removal products. Job duties include new product design and continuous improvement of existing products. The best engineer for the job will be creative, hands-on, and have experience in product development including solid modeling, finite element analysis, design verification testing, and product release. Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology
-Minimum 4 years experience
-Computer knowledge including Pro Engineer, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
-Experience in engineering mechanics, strength of materials, welding, and other manufacturing processes
-Strong project management skills to achieve goals including safety, quality, function, cost and delivery
-Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
-Hydraulics and basic electrical knowledge
