The Inter-Tribal Council of Michigan, based in Sault Ste. Marie, is seeking an executive director who will be responsible to the Board of Directors to carry out the work of the Inter-Tribal Council which includes: monthly written board reports; plan and hold official meetings; provide assistance to Tribal governments; direct ITC programs and services. Establish a sound structure for ITC's central administrative operations. The executive director also manages fiscal resources and development of grants and contracts, conducts public relation activities and maintain relationships with related organizations and publishes an annual report, including an evaluation and analysis of the fiscal operations of the agency to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
-Bachelors in Business Administration or aligned field and/or equivalent combination of experience required.
-Strong financial background required with knowledge of fund accounting preferred.
-Two years of demonstrated responsible administrative experience required.
-Proficient with computers, preferably in Microsoft Office and other software.
-Demonstrated skill in understanding the necessity and the ability to preserve and maintain confidential client and team member based information.
-Must successfully pass criminal history background check and child protective services check.
-Must not have been convicted of any felony or misdemeanor crime involving theft, fraud or dishonesty.
