The three story, 7,100 square foot Abbot Manor apartment building in East Lansing underwent a major renovation in the summer of 2008.

The renovation, which including the transformation of the first floor offices into apartments, is complete. The 4,500 square foot first floor space now has four ground floor units.
“It was a very customized, choppy, dysfunctional layout on the first floor,” says Andrew Branoff, principle in the Branoff Investment Group, of building's old design.
From the street, the exterior renovations include bright, eye-catching tile, a very different style from its former 1960s design. The 27-unit apartment is near the
East Lansing Library and a short walk to
Michigan State University (MSU).
“Because of our location, the occupancy has always been strong, but it did improve somewhat with the renovation,” Branoff says.
