HomeGoods coming to 27,000 sq ft Frandor location

The AJWright store that has been located in the Frandor Shopping Center for not yet a year is about to undergo a transformation. The 27,000 square foot retail space is currently closed as the store’s parent company, T.J. Maxx transitions into a HomeGoods store.

"The existing store will undergo renovations and will open as a HomeGoods in the spring," says Robyn Arvedon, Manager of Public Relations for HomeGoods. "HomeGoods will retain the AJWright Store Associates to work in this new store."The Frandor location will be the first HomeGoods store in the Lansing area, [with] 11 other HomeGoods locations in Michigan.

While AJ Wright’s retail focus is on apparel, the HomeGoods store will offer inventory for the home utilizing the same discount retail model featured in T.J. Maxx stores.

"HomeGoods offers an exciting, ever-changing selection of high-quality home fashions at prices," says Arvedon.

According to Patrick Corr of Lansing’s Corr Commercial Real Estate, the AJ Wright store closed it’s doors approximately two weeks ago and is anticipated to reopen as HomeGoods in about a month.

T.J. Maxx is currently closing all AJWright locations nationwide and converting the existing stores to other names under the T.J. Maxx brand, including Marshalls and HomeGoods.
