AnnaBelle's Pet Station Scheduled for a March 30 Grand Opening

Theyve been working on it for a long time, but the three women developing AnnaBelle's pet station in Downtown Lansing are close to putting up a red ribbon.

AnnaBelle's owners plan to host the grand opening of their dog daycare March 30.

"There's a lot of interest from the dog owner community, especially from the downtown professional community," says Ann Andrews, part owner in AnnaBelle's. "I think people would like to have a much bigger facility, but right now with the economy the way it is we're going to start much smaller."

When the facility opens in March, AnnaBelle's will offer grooming and doggie day care so owners can drop their dogs off on their way to work and pick them up on the way home. Originally, AnnaBelle's was going to host overnight stays. Andrews says that idea is still in their future plans.

"We're doing some internal renovations right now, but we hope that when the credit crunch is over we'll have the funding available to do a larger project," she says.

The 6,000 square foot doggie center is located at 600 Capitol Ave. in Downtown Lansing.
