Second Phase of $9.5 Million East Lansing Investment Brings Apartments and Commercial Space

After just under a year of construction, the second phase of a massive $9.5 million mixed use residential and commercial project along Michigan Avenue in East Lansing is wrapping up in time for the new MSU school year.

The new Campus Village Communities site near the University includes 46 apartment units with Internet access and free CATA bus passes. The Number One line connecting downtown Lansing, East Lansing and the Meridian Mall in Okemos, runs right outside the front door, making access to cultural and entertainment destinations quicker and cheaper.

The project also adds two separate, 2,500 square feet commercial spaces and a parking garage.

The Kincaid Building Group was involved in the design and development of the first phase of the project. The apartments are located at 1231 Michigan Ave., and construction began in September 2006.
