Center for Educational Networking Makes Move to 5,499 Sq Ft Lansing Location

The Center for Education Networking (CEN) has moved from Charlotte to Lansing, nearly doubling its office space.

It’s 5,499 square feet space in the Capitol Commerce Center at 6412 Centennial Way, puts the CEN close to the Michigan Department of Education, cutting down on commute times for CEN employees.

The CEN is a project that falls under the umbrella of the Michigan Department of Education and is a statewide education information network that provides educational products and services to entities around the state.

“All of the people in this building come in from different locations — Grand Rapids, Charlotte, Lansing — being close to the highway makes it easy on and off,” says Lori Schulze, associate director for the CEN.

The CEN had been in Charlotte for more than 10 years. The Lansing location has 20 employees.

“One of the big pluses about this location is that we’re grant funded, so we have limited funds, and we really wanted to find a place that was in move-in condition,” she says.
