Ingham County recently paid $1.97 million for the Our Savior Lutheran Church building on the Lansing's Southside.
The county will use the 40,000 square foot building to accommodate its Continuum of Care program and the Ingham County Food Bank. The Continuum of Care program seeks to help disadvantaged youths.
Ingham County has agreed to let the church use the sanctuary for services until the church completes construction on its new building. Our Savior Lutheran Church is building a new facility at Broadbent and St. Joseph on the Westside of Lansing.
Ingham County closed on the 1601 W. Holmes Rd. building in June.
