DTN recently finished construction of a $2 million apartment building on Clippert Street that’s a two minute walk from the
Lansing River Trail and a five minute bike ride from the heart of
MSU’s campus.
The 24 unit apartment building is the newest development on Clippert Street, which is right on the edge of East Lansing in Lansing Township.
"DTN is very likely the first to come forward, acquire a property and take a risk

here," says Allen Russell with DTN about building the new development on Clippert Street.
Russell says he hopes the project will bring up property values on Clippert Street and will encourage other Clippert Street property owners to invest in their own property.
As part of Lansing Township’s effort to promote urban renewal, DTN was required to create some open space when it constructed the building, says Lansing Township Director of Planning and Development Steven Hayward. There wasn't enough open space near the property to meet this requirement, so DTN bought and donated land adjacent to Elizabeth Park to the township.
The site is six city blocks and includes a first floor parking garage. The apartments at 232 S. Clippert are 1,150-1,275 square foot and go for $1,400 to $1,600 a month. All of them have been leased.
