The Michigan Credit Union League (MCUL) now has a presence in Downtown Lansing. In December, the MCUL, which represents 350 credit unions, moved into the 101 building on Washington Square.
“We’re excited to expand our presence in Lansing,” says David Adams, president and CEO of the MCUL.
The MCUL’s had a small physical presence in Lansing for several years, operating a satellite office out of a space on Allegan Street.
The MCUL expanded to Lansing after selling its office in Northville. After the sale, the MCUL moved staff to the Lansing location and a Livonia location.
Expanding the Lansing location was a natural choice for the MCUL, which lobbies on behalf of 350 credit unions. Being in the capital gives the MCUL immediate access to the legislature.
“We felt that it was very important for us to have an expanded and stronger presence in the capital city,” Adams says.
The MCUL has the entire ninth floor of the building. The MCUL can expand into an additional 3,000 square feet, but Adams says they probably won’t expand in the next couple of years.
