Dart Development Breaks Ground on 40,500 Sq Ft Lansing Project

Dart Development Corporation is celebrating 20 years of development by breaking ground on a 40,500 square foot building in Lansing.

“The region has proven itself time and time again and we just feel confident that there’s a need for this space,” says Marsha Zimmerman, marketing manager for Dart Development Corporation.

The 40,500 square foot spec building will include four, 10,000 square foot office suites within the Oakwood Executive Park in Lansing. The office spaces can be adjusted to fit the needs of future tenants.

“Our plan is for the suites to start at 10,000 square feet, but if a user needs the whole building, we would obviously do that,” she says. The building is slated to be complete by November of this year.

Dart Development Corporation constructed a building in 2004 to accommodate the suppliers of the then-new Delta GM plant. Magna is now in that space. In 2006, the company added two more buildings along 1-96.

“That worked out well too,” says Zimmerman about the 2006 developments. “We’re at 94 percent occupancy right now and we have calls all the time looking for space and we don’t have the space available.”

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Wednesday, June 3 at 4063 Grand Oak Dr., Dart Development Corporation will celebrate its 20 year anniversary with an open house. Tenants will have booths at the open house showcasing their goods and services.
