A lot more lights are on in the 150,000 square foot building at One Michigan Avenue in Downtown Lansing.
In the last few months, several companies have relocated to the large space, breathing new life into one of Downtown’s largest office buildings. The Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) and Public Affairs Associates just agreed to move to the building's the 10th floor.
SBAM is moving its offices from 222 North Washington Square to the 8,200 square foot One Michigan space. Public Affairs Associates is expanding into the remaining 6,000 square feet on that floor.
“These two deals got done because they both wanted quality space and they both could fit on the 10th floor,” says Eric Rosekrans with CB Richard Ellis/Martin.
Government Consultant Services, Inc. (GCSI) and the Michigan Distributors and Vendors Association also recently relocated to the space.
Robert Reid, the building’s real estate brokers, says the building is now 75 percent full. An increasing demand for high quality Downtown office space is the driving forces behind the now nearly full building, he says.
