Grand Traverse Pie Co. Opens Flagship Urban Shop in Downtown Lansing

The Grand Traverse Pie Company (GTPC) is opening a new location on the corner of Washington and Allegan in Downtown Lansing.

This new space at 200 S. Washington, will be what the company calls a “Generation 3 Pie Shop” — a smaller footprint urban space with a menu to match its city location.

The new location will be the first of its kind, and the GTPC is hoping to demonstrate its ability to expand and grow into other urban settings similar to downtown Lansing (or larger).

“While our process for making from scratch pies in each and every shop will not change, we will create a 'GT Express' component [so that] those who wish to take our sandwiches, salads, pies back to the office can do so quickly and easily,” says Mike Busley, co-founder of Grand Traverse Pie Company.

The new location will also offer delivery options, including warm apple pies, chicken pot pies and gourmet salads delivered directly to people working Downtown who want GTPC goods for lunch or after work.

“This new location serves as the blueprint for our brand's expansion into metro markets in the greater Midwest and beyond,” adds Busley.
