New 1,000 Sq Ft Coffee Shop Opens in Downtown Williamston

Dawn-Marie Joseph and her husband, Paul, have opened a new 1,000 coffee shop in downtown Williamston.

The Josephs named their entrepreneurial venture after their granddaughter, Grace. Gracie’s Place is the only coffee shop in downtown Williamston with an outdoor patio.

The Josephs knew they wanted to open a coffee shop, but had to wait four years before their dream building opened up. Gracie’s Place is in the renovated downtown building on 151 S. Putnum St.

Joseph was offered a Biggby's Coffee franchise in Milford, but says she really wanted to stay in Williamston.

“I’m really involved in the Chamber of Commerce here, and I believe that Williamston is just a viable, up-and-coming city,” Joseph says. “We have the Williamston Theatre and lots of wonderful shops that have been here for years and years. I just want to be part of all that.”
