Lansing Community College (LCC) is making $131,771 in façade and structural improvements to its downtown Lansing Academic Office Facility.
The building is located near
the intersection of Grand River Avenue and Shiawassee Street in Downtown Lansing. Chris Struger-Fritsch, director of LCC’s Administrative Services Division, says the old building needs exterior improvements including brick replacement.
“We try to get ahead of maintenance so the integrity of the buildings are not compromised,” Strugar-Fritsch says.
The Academic Office Facility building was built in the 1920s and, though it’s structurally sound, some of the brick work is starting to fall apart.
