LEAP and Lansing Chamber Forge Agreement, Join Forces in Stadium District

The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) will move its offices from Old Town to the Downtown Lansing Stadium District within the next couple of months.

LEAP is the third economic/tourism engine to set up offices in the Stadium District, which is in the heart of Downtown Lansing.

LEAP will move to a second floor office space next to the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce (LRCC), an organization LEAP’s been working with for the past several months to collaborate on strategic economic efforts in the region.

“We have developed a strategic alliance with the Chamber and the crux of that is really that we have been working with each other as responsible corporate citizens to make sure we’re working collaboratively,”says Denyse Ferguson, CEO of LEAP. “We’re really looking toward the overall strategy and economic development of the region.”

In accordance with the agreement, LEAP will manage the region’s overall economic development strategy and optimize its economic development activities. The LRCC will work with the Capital Region International Airport to secure Foreign Trade Zone status, work with area businesses to identify new opportunities to secure government contracts and help businesses understand global growth opportunities through its international education programs.
