Designer Opens First Boutique Clothing Store in Lansing's REO Town

Leo Brown is ready to turn REO Town into LEO Town, a Lansing neighborhood where people cannot only get good breakfast food and solid pizza, but shop for unique designer clothing.

Brown is the owner of Life Evolution & Circles (LE&O), an urban boutique that sells men and women’s clothing. The LE&O brand is bold, and while Brown’s signature logo has gained popularity, he continues to introduce new lines. He recently introduced a line inspired by the Civil War.

“Lansing needs a new look,” Brown says. “Something where people can get the boutique experience.”

The store definitely feels more like L.A. than a renovated, 260 square foot space in Lansing’s REO Town.

“I’ve always loved fashion, but I never thought I would have a store,” Brown says.

Brown expects to have a sizeable Internet-based market. He already sells his clothing to celebrities, including Kanye West and John Legend. His designs have been featured in several magazines including YRB and Antenna.

Brown is a also Lansing barber and has traveled around the country, spending time in fashion-centered cities like L.A. LE&O opened May 24.
