Tiffany Dowling, the owner of Motion Media Marketing (M3) in Lansing, is expanding her business into the 3,000 square foot building next to M3’s existing 614 Seymour Ave. address.
“We’re pretty much at capacity in the office space that we’re in right now,” she says, adding that the renovation will cost between $10,000 to $12,000.
Like Dowling’s existing space, the 3,000 square foot 610 Seymour Ave. building is an older home. The building’s been divided into apartments, but Dowling is completely renovating the structure.
“I love the feel of being in these old buildings,” Dowling says. “It’s so comfortable. It’s so relaxing to be in this type of environment. For me it’s a no-brainer. They (old homes) offer exactly what we want and frankly, because we’re in a creative industry, it really helps us relax and be creative.”
MM3 is a marketing, advertising and public relations firm. A portion of its operations will move to the new building when renovations are complete. Dowling says she plans to lease the remaining space.
“Things have been going well and that will hopefully increase our staffing at the beginning of the next year and I need to be prepared,” Dowling says.
Dowling and Shelley Davis Mielock, owner of Mieshel Image Consulting, have a new radio show called In Her Shoes that airs Sunday on WJIM 1240 A.M.
