NuUnion Breaks Ground on $3.4 Million Southside Redevelopment Project

NuUnion Credit Union is moving quickly on its new $3.4 million Southside Lansing branch.

Having recently broken ground on the demolition and redevelopment project, NuUnion is slated to finish the new building by 2010.

NuUnion is demolishing the former Regent Inn Hotel located on the corner of Cedar and Pennsylvania. Once the 35,000 square foot hotel is removed, NuUnion will build a 5,000 square foot office.

NuUnion is using $392,922 in state and local tax incentives for the project. A 54-inch, asbestos filled drain runs through the site. It has to be removed in order to move forward with the project.
