For years, going to lunch or dinner at Sansu in East Lansing meant great food and a long wait.
The food is still delicious, but lengthy waits are no longer on the menu. The
Sansu owners recently moved to a 5,500-square foot space in the same building as the original Sansu, doubling the size of the restaurant.
“It was a big move for us,” says Rebecca Jeon, Sansu owner and manager. “It was a gamble, but it was worth it.”
Jeon and her staff moved into their new space at 4750 S. Hagadorn about a month ago. They made the move during the slow time between lunch and dinner so they wouldn’t miss a customer.
The new location includes a 40-foot long sushi table, eight sushi chefs and a full-service bar. Sansu will also have expanded patio seating in the summer.
