New Name, Same Strategy for Old Town Environmental Consulting Firm

The former Hooper Consulting Group, led by Alan Hooper, has changed its name to Triterra

Triterra is a full-service firm offering environmental consulting, natural resource restoration and brownfield redevelopment services throughout the entire state.

“We’ve been able to help our clients navigate the wide range of incentives available in Michigan,” says Hooper. “These incentives to aid with environmental issues often make the difference between an impossible project and an affordable project.”

Triterra has four employees and specializes in a variety of environmental solutions, from helping a client restore an old building to making a contaminated site safe for reuse and redevelopment.

The company occupies a building in Old Town that was constructed on a former brownfield site. Hooper and his wife, Jamie Schriner-Hooper, finished the cleanup and renovation of two historic brick industrial buildings and a parking lot at 1213 Center Street in 2007.
