VESTA Green Building Partners Make Move to Old Town Lansing

Tony Beyers and Scott Schmidt are settling into their new Old Town Lansing digs.

The owners of VESTA Building Industries, an Energy Star Partner and member of the U.S. Green Building Council, moved into a 1,300 square foot office space above bella blu II boutique in April.

“It’s more of a vibrant community and little more centrally located,” Beyers says about their decision to head to Old Town.

Beyers says VESTA Building Industries has traditionally focused on suburban development, but would like to get further enmeshed in downtown development. Having an Old Town office space reflects this desire, he says.

Beyers and Schmidt are general contractors. They also test houses for energy efficiency. They’re currently working with the Lenawee Company and developer Gene Townsend on the Ottawa Street mixed use development.

Beyers and Schmidt made some renovations to their 1219.5 Turner Street address, which was formally a loft apartment.
