WJG Enterprises Invests $4 Million in Existing 100,000 Sq Ft Charlotte Facility

During the next five years, WJG Enterprises in Charlotte, Mich., will invest $4 million in its existing 100,000 square foot facility.

The investment will include internal capacity expansions that will allow the plastic injection molding company to expand into the high-tech medical devices market.

The company will produce plastic products for hospital and clinic systems, high tech medical devices and heavy industrial equipment.

Less than two years ago, WJG diversified its operations, expanding into the medical industry.

“We’re actually in the process of launching the new product now so over the next five years we’ll continue to grow,” says William Grice with WJG. “We’ll see about 50 percent of the projected growth over the next 18 months.”

This projected growth also includes plans to hire 109 new employees over the next five years.

“We’re looking for every skill level from those with high school diplomas to degreed engineers and program managers,” he says.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) gave WJG Enterprises a $993,024 state tax credit for the project.
