MSU Credit Union creates 30 new jobs in 2010

It’s been a big year for the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union. On the heels of opening their new $3.5 million downtown branch, MSUFCU announced that 27 of their 83 new hires in 2010 were new positions for the growing organization, only 12 of which are accounted for by the new branch.

“The other positions were due to growth in other department areas,” says MSUFCU Executive Vice President April Clobes, “including the contact center, business services, e-services and e-commerce.”

The credit union cites both low cost products and services and their member services as keys to their recent growth. An extensive training program for all new employees is credited with instilling the level of customer service that has been so integral in their growth.

MSUFCU expects the job growth to continue this year.

“We are adding about 30 new positions this year as well,” says Clobes, “with most of the growth in our service departments as our membership has been growing. Some of the positions are for management as well.”
