Okemos-based
TechSmith Corp. has broadened its product lineup to include Camtasia for
Mac.
TechSmith has for some time offered Camtasia for personal computers. The software records what happens on your computer screen, can turn it into a video, and share it online or on portable devices.
Camtasia for Mac records exactly what users see on their computer
screens, what they say, and how they interact with any website or
Mac-based application such as
Keynote and
PowerPoint. Users can then edit the interactive content and share it on popular video sharing sites like
YouTube, on Screencast.com, on CDs or DVDs, or via
iTunes for playback on
Apple portable media players such as the iPod, iPhone and iPod touch.
But that’s not all the 200-employee company has been up to. It’s growing its staff.
TechSmith has job openings in 12 categories, ranging from Mac developers and software engineers to Web 2.0 developers. In addition, the company offers five

categories of paid internships, including part-time positions in product management and web development.
“With straightforward recording, a deliberate focus on time-saving editing features, and extensive publishing options, customers will be able to create and deliver high-quality screen recorded content to their audiences while maintaining their creative control,” says Troy Stein, product manager.
