East Lansing biotech company Working Bugs is expanding and
adding two microbiologists to its team.
Working Bugs is a contract fermentation company that develops products used in food production, bio-fuels and bio-chemicals.
Many of Working Bugs’ innovations are used in the production of environmentally conscious products.
“We’re all about Michigan, and even Mid-Michigan if
possible,” says Working Bugs managing partner Dianne Holman. “We like being
right here in Mid-Michigan, and we want to hire Michigan people as much as
possible.”
Holman says the company is still in its infancy, but with
four employees, the staff has already doubled.
