In a week, a big green trailer full of environmentally friendly building supplies will roll through Lansing.
The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Mobile Classroom will show consumers and trades people the latest green technologies. Green technology demonstrations will include fuel cell technologies, wind power generation, solar heating systems, grey water toilet flushing systems and geothermal technologies.
“It really just demonstrates a cleaner way of operating,” says Becky Brimley, with the Mid-Michigan Mechanical Contractors Association (3MCA). The 3MCA and the UA Local 333 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters are hosting the trailer.
The trailer will be in Lansing from September 9 through September 11. The trailer will be in front of the state capital Tuesday; on Lansing Community College’s (LCC) west campus Wednesday; and Michigan State University’s (MSU) Human Ecology Building, West Circle Drive, Thursday.
