The
Entrepreneur Institute — a Lansing-based nonprofit that provides resources and services to entrepreneurs through training programs, microloans and technical assistance — is looking to put $25,000 in micro-loans into the community over the next 90 days.
The Entrepreneur Institute’s
Jump Start Microloan program is designed for small businesses or entrepreneurs (existing or startups) in the City of Lansing who need funds for business inventory, equipment or licenses used specifically for the growth of the business. The Jump Start Microloan proceeds are paid directly to the vendor or supplier.
“At the Entrepreneur Institute, our essential goal is to equip small businesses and startups with the knowledge they need to be successful,” says Entrepreneur Institute executive director, Denise Peek. “Our Jump Start Microloan Program is designed to give entrepreneurs that first step in accessing capital.”
The Institute's reason for launching this program now is to make sure local businesses have access to capital for the
upcoming Holiday Season for equipment or inventory. "The terms of these loans are designed for quick repayment so that the entrepreneur can come back and borrow more the next time around,” adds Peek.
If you’re a small business owner or startup interested in these loans, visit
