The business community is taking notice.
Besides plenty of business media hype featuring the seven-month-old company, the Detroit Economic Club sponsored GiftZip.com’s exhibit at the National Summit’s Innovation Exposition in Detroit. The summit engaged business, government and academic leaders in debate and dialogue in four areas deemed important to America’s future in a global economy: technology, energy, environment and manufacturing, says Mallory Woodrow, GiftZip spokesperson. Other exhibitors included Dell, Microsoft, Dow Chemical, and Ford Motor Company.
The Michigan State University (MSU) graduate’s business was the only Capital region company recognized as one of 25 finalists in the Michigan Business Review’s July 16 innovation event at Grand Valley State University.
The following week, GiftZip.com will participate in the Detroit Tigers “Going, Going, GREEN!” weekend which will feature businesses committed to the environment.
